An affordable housing option for small households that's NOT an apartment

We have created an affordable housing product that is an option for small households that has only been provided by apartment-style living. This concept of a single family home that is sized for a 1-3 person household with a small (perhaps 30' x 12' area)private yard and parking for 2 cars in front of their own home should be an attractive alternative to apartment living for many potential renters – at a competitive price. This single home/private yard concept will allow the occupants to have up to 2 small pets, a crucial consideration for many renters searching for housing and a valuable incentive for those same renters to renew their leases.

We are seeing a changing demographic profile with ever increasing numbers of childless households as younger people are delaying starting families. There is also a growing number of single households (for both women and men) and ever increasing numbers of aging/empty nester households with limited incomes that would appreciate the dignity that this type of housing could provide for them.
